IPL Photofacial

Photorejuvenation or IPL Photofacial uses pulses of concentrated light to improve the overall coloration and tone of the skin with little to no downtime. The photofacial treatment can clear sun damage/sunspots, broken capillaries, acne, rosacea, spider veins, and facial veins.

Am I a good candidate for this treatment?

Patients with fair to medium skin tones who have discolored or blotchy skin or whose skin is affected by large pores, freckles, and rosacea. Patients with tanned or naturally dark skin are not candidates for the IPL Photofacial treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

A series of 3-5 treatments are recommended for optimal results.

How quickly will I recover?

Overall, there is minimal to no recovery time from an IPL Photofacial. Immediately after the treatment, you may experience a sunburn like sensation that will subside within 24 hours.  Facial redness, darkening of pigment, and minor swelling typically subside within 1-2 days after the treatment. For some patients, redness and darkening of spots may take a week to fade.

Non-Ablative Skin Resurfacing

The non-ablative skin resurfacing treatment is a laser treatment that penetrates deep into the dermis for effective, long term results in correcting scarring, crow’s feet, wrinkles, melasma, stretch marks, and loose skin with little to no downtime.

Am I a good candidate for non-ablative laser resurfacing?

Patients with untanned skin who suffer from issues such as uneven texture, fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, melasma, stretch marks, and acne scarring.

How many treatments will I need?

A series of 3-5 treatments are recommended for optimal results.

How quickly will I recover?

Since the skin is left completely intact after the non-ablative resurfacing treatment, there is minimal to no recovery time.  You will experience some minor swelling and a mild sunburn-like sensation for the first 24 hours after the treatment.  Over the next few days, the skin may appear slightly bronzed or pink in color with minor flaking and dryness that typically subsides within 3-5 days.

CO2 Ablative Skin Resurfacing

The SmartXide DOT CO2 laser offers the most effective treatment for scarring, wrinkles, aging, and other skin imperfections.  This skin resurfacing treatment is an aggressive treatment that dramatically restores the tone and health of your skin through the formation of a completely new skin layer.

How many treatments are recommended?

Dramatic results may be achieved with only 1-2 treatments.

How quickly will I recover?

Most patients can resume to regular activities between 5-7 days after the treatment.
